Our Process

Our mission at DogMa is to ensure your furry family members are comfortable, thriving, and having fun while you travel. Whether it’s an extended vacation overseas or a simple day trip, one of our DogMas will make sure your dog is well-cared for so that you can relax and enjoy your time away.

Bringing together professionalism, intuition, decades of handling experience plus motherly/fatherly love - our DogMas are committed to providing exceptional care for your pets. Our philosophy on care/training is rooted in relationship-building, compassion & choice, force-free methods of communication, and science-based techniques only.

Intake Call
Each of our DogMas and home environments are unique; we want to find the best fit in caring for your pup(s). The first step in our process is to complete an intake phone call, where we learn more about your pup’s daily routine, activity level, play pal preferences, environmental likes/dislikes, etc. Once we have a better understand of your pup’s personality and needs, we match you with one of our DogMas who is best suited to provide the care your pup deserves.

Meet & Greet
Once you are matched with one of our DogMas, you will received their contact information and a text message from them to arrange a time to meet. Your DogMa will come to your home or other location where your pup is most comfortable, to allow your pup to see, smell, and hear their DogMa. This is a chance for you to ask questions and learn more about your DogMa, as well as finalize details of the upcoming stay.

During the Stay
At the start of a DogMa Home Boarding stay, your DogMa will arrive to pick-up your pup and bring them to the DogMa home. Upon arrival at the DogMa home, your DogMa will go through an intentional introduction process with the other dogs present, to ensure a harmonious, safe environment for everyone. At the end of the stay, your DogMa will bring your pup home when you are ready!

At the start of a In-Home Boarding stay, your DogMa will arrive to check-in to your home and get settled with your pup(s). Your DogMa will make your home their home base for the duration of the stay; they will continue their normal routine, while caring for your pup(s). At the end of an In-Home Boarding stay, your DogMa will check themselves out, ensure your home tidy and secure.

You will receive text PUPdates with photos and videos so that you know your pooch is livin’ it up while you’re away!

Invoicing
Our invoicing process is simple and easy! All invoices are sent to the email address we have on file for you; the invoice can be paid electronically via a checking account, a card, or PayPal. All invoices come from our billing team, so you never have to worry about payments with your DogMa. Rates are consistent across our entire team.

Booking Future Stays
Once you have developed a relationship with your DogMa, you can book stays directly with them. If your DogMa is unavailable, our team will get you matched with another DogMa.
